Sustainability Requirements for Designers

To participate in the 3rd Annual Tierra Viento Fuego Agua event, designers must ensure their products meet the following sustainability standards. Please review each criterion carefully and confirm that your designs and practices align with these requirements.

1. Eco-Friendly Materials

• Clothing, Handbags, Shoes, and Accessories: Products should be made from sustainable, recycled, upcycled, or organic materials whenever possible. Designers are encouraged to avoid synthetic materials and plastics that harm the environment.

2. Waste Reduction and Minimal Packaging

• Designers must minimize product packaging or use recyclable, compostable, or reusable materials.
• Single-use plastics and other non-biodegradable materials are discouraged and should be avoided whenever possible.

3. Ethical Sourcing and Production

• Products should be sourced or produced with fair labor practices and minimal environmental impact. We encourage designs that support fair trade, locally sourced materials, and eco-conscious manufacturing.

4. Transparency in Sourcing and Production

• Designers must be transparent about their materials and production processes. This includes providing information about sourcing, labor practices, and sustainability efforts.

5. Commitment to Sustainability

• Preference will be given to designers whose collections showcase a dedication to sustainability, whether through innovative eco-friendly designs, upcycled materials, or a brand mission focused on environmental stewardship.
